YASD (Yet Another Stupid Death) posts, describing how your favourite character just died.
winner posts (somebody has completed the game and wants to tell about his/her experiences, often accompanied by a character dump)
asking strategic advice (e.g. which weapon or character type to choose, what to do next, how to defeat certain enemy)
asking advice about compiling/obtaining a game
discussing about new features of the game, developing new games or variants
informing about new versions of game/new games

various surveys (e.g. asking how many people play a certain game, which features are most popular etc.)
